As the header says, the pass is closed because some of the road decided to slip away from the cliff face.

I suppose not many of us would be out riding due to weather conditions in the Sydney basin, but Win news said a couple of days before the Pass would be open, lets hope that the surface is as good as new when repaired.

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

We came down through Kangaroo Valley on Thursday on the way south and there was plenty of water coming across the road. Every corner just had sheets of water coming across carrying all manner of 'stuff' ... real good fun with all the rain.

So I am not surprised that all that water has caused some damage ... similar thing happened on our road a while back and the road was closed for months.

Have to go and have a look as soon as my bike is back from the repairer, or when WIN news tells us

It's clear - went thru' sat. morning.

Same can't be said for Jamberoo Mountain Rd. It's pretty cut up with gravel from the storms on some of the bends. Saw a Harley rider come down even though he was riding pretty carefully.

Moss Vale Rd down to KV & Nowra is in very good condition.

According to the Caltex guy at Albion Park, the Pass was only closed for a few days while they cleaned it up.

Cheers

slightly off topic - I was at Bald Hill today to witness 2 x Suzuki Boulevards come into the car park, and the lead bike promptly drop it on its side, next to a dude still sitting on his harley (and yeah they both went down).

it took about 4 big blokes in tshirts, leather vests and chaps to life each bike....

It was hard not to laugh.....

Did you go riding alone?
I'm sure it would have been hard not to laugh.

No, went on an impromptu ride with Carmelo on his Guzzi Griso...

And he's found some pace on that thing - i followed him through the park, and I thought "shit, it's been a little while I must be rusty", till I checked the speedo a couple of times and worked out that I was doing the usual "relaxed" pace and it was him upping the tempo..
