(un)fortunately, I removed myself from that side many years ago, and I have not seen or heard from them since.

hey mate, that sucks to hear about your bike.

Make sure you let all the local dealers, duc mechanics, and groups know - all the DOC's, flywheels, gowies, desmo clinic, frasers, northside, duc penrith, sydney dyno, technik, terry hay's, zeno etc etc...

it's all worth a try.

Yeah, started doing my own doorknock. Nothing yet. I've been making a lot of calls, official and non-official, i'm really becoming fairly obsessed with this investigation.....Not letting it go easily  Evil

Good on ya Hugh, I wish you good luck in your hunting!

You said they also took some mtb, did they leave anything of worth behind?

I had my mtb stolen in a similar way many years ago, but they left a lot of valuable stuff behind (and also broke into a neighbours at the same time, stealing his mtb). I assumed it was kids.

Stealing a moto is a very difference story. Did it have any locks on it (even the steering lock?)

Took my MTB and Karla's MTB. Left the triumph....  Grin

They didn't take any spare parts to the Duc,including the original exhaust system which was hanging next to it on the wall or any of the original parts. I'm off the opinion that the guys that stole it all were sent by someone else to obtain the Duc, and anything else in the garage they could keep. Pushbikes are the obvious item to take for a moron.. They don't have any of the keys, steering lock was on. Also stole my brand new track stand  bang head

Upgrades to the garage in the future: Three dead bolts(not just the one) on the garage door, dyno-bolted pivot points in the floor of the garage.

I do have an angle to look into but until i've done that i'm keeping that close to my chest...... Will keep you all posted on that one.
