Trying to decide between using a 999 05+ swingarm, or a 696 swingarm on this track bike project thats stuck in my head.  I also could go with a s*R arm, but I want something different.

I'm assuming the 696 arm will bolt up to a 2v motor, wheras the 999 one will require some work (bearings in case, bearings in arm).

Anyway, could someone measure the length of a 696 arm from the pivot to the axle plates?  Could you weigh it as well?

Thanks!

The 696 shock is mounted to the left side of the swing arm and corresponding sub frame point, I believe different than the previous models.

another thing i'll do when i get to the shop this week. will try to give you full dimensions. do know that it's longer than the old SS swingarms Wink had checked the SS swinger as an option for the rebuild but it would have been a decidedly different wheelbase

he is right about the shock though. it's offset to the left side about 50% between the center line and the outside, but i'll give you exact points later.

Shock being offset is no big deal.  I'm going to use a SBK frame and will have to add a mounting point for it anyway. waytogo

axle is a 25mm, i know a 5.5inch wheel will fit, but not sure of actual measurement.
