Navy Base Decals

Im sure there has to be someone else out there whos dealt with this.  I work at a naval base and they require all vehicles (including bikes) to be registered and display stickers.  The hitch here is I want to be able to take my bike to work, but I have absolutely zero interest in polluting my new bike with those stickers :'( I was thinking about some kind of a plate attached to the trellis with hose clamps (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-900956/) or possibly a plate that would utilize the front fender bolts (would need to have a standoff and use a longer bolt)
Anyone found anything that works?

On the classic monsters the headlight mount bolts up to the lower triple in a way that it would be easy to attach a plate for vehicle stickers there.  Two bolts, swap in swap out in 10 minutes probably.

Do they stipulate where they need to be, front vs back etc? Someone make a little plate out of sheet aluminum that they just attached to their license plate to display a college sticker... Couple be a solution to your problem.

On DSS monsters, it's easy to mount a plate between the frame and rearset. I've got one that I picked up at a HD shop to display my states safety inspection

so the removal would destroy the sticker. if you put it on a removable plate you defeat that purpose.

The solution being stick it on something that looks permanent, but is easily removable.

I'm far too lazy to check out TOB for it, but someone came up with the idea of rolling Al sheet to fit around the fork tube, in between the triples, and mounting the sticker there.

In fact, I think it was urban's idea...

My buddy (Air Force Reserve) put his on his steering tube. Couldn't really see it from ten feet, put totally readable from up close.

Aluminum sheet around the fork... could just get a thin-walled aluminum tube cut to fit just right between top&bottom triples with some rubber on the inside or ends to prevent vibration.

The solution being stick it on something that looks permanent, but is easily removable.

I cut a small metal plate to just the right size for the stickers, drilled a hole in each corner, and spray painted it the same color as the frame (black).  Used black zip ties to attach it to the upper and lower frame tubes just aft of the steering head.  Works great, can be removed in 15 seconds, no permanent marks, never had anyone question it.

ato memphis...EXACTLY what I was looking for.   I also know a lot of guys put it on the swing arm where the chain kinda masks it...
