Your bike is a single-phase charging system.  The 30A main charging fuse is correct for that bike.  A 40A fuse would be correct for the later model bikes.  DO NOT change your main charging fuse out to the 40A.

Duck-Stew is correct, somehow it was imprinted in my mind you had an '01.

Been riding her all day with no problems, checked battery voltage 3 times, looks good. I'm thinking I inadvertently created some type of surge in her which in turn drained the battery (battery is brand new). I should have checked this in the first place instead of running out and buying a new relay, it would have saved me a lot of grief.  I left the 30A fuse in, thanks again guys. I'll let you know how things go over the next few weeks.
