customized stock exhaust project

I've reached a halfway point on my exhaust cans home project of sorts.  They were REALLY loud initially.  I made some db killers from perforated aluminum sheet (bent around a broomstick) and it made them fun.  Deep, but not deafening.  
I'm not done with the project, but I know I like boomtubes and shorties.  The ultra loud can be too loud, so I lowered it, but the length makes me happy.  The stock ones are elephantiasis cans.  
I did put the stock heat shields back on after I took the pic, I like 'em.



Work in progress, it's gona be loud.  Just thought I'd post in case anyone else is chopping up monster low mount cans.
I cut once about 3" from the end the first time about 3 months ago.  It sounded better, still pretty quiet (IMHO) and I hated the aluminum sleeves.
I cut just behind the mounts to the rearsets which is about 2" past the first baffle plate.  
These tubes in the stock 695 cans are all over the place.  There is a small tube coming out that seems to have perforations farther down toward the inlet(I can't quite see with the lights I have at home).  The large pipe opens up and I can see the cat converter outlet is a section of perforated pipe.  I'm considering whether or not to weld in a washer or something similar to boost the backpressure.
The cans will get cleaned up and rewelded then polished and gun blued.

I just did a low mount factory set myself
I cut the cans in half...even with the axle.
I was pleasantly surprised, they were just a little louder & throatier than the REMUS I had on previously.

I'm curious if anyone might know about the two tubes I see in the first baffle plate.  The large one opens and I can see inside.  It's just the small one I don't know about.  Any knowledge about that little tube?  If it's not open behind the baffle then I won't worry about sealing it off.  I'd like to weld the small one shut and install a washer as an adjustable baffle valve, this way I can fine tune my backpressure.

Updated the pic.  I haven't used a washer for backpressure, I think there is enough with the converter and the first baffle plate still intact and the FatDuc adjusts to that.  It rides grrreat, just need a new chain/sprockets and tires in a couple thousand miles.

how do u plan on making the baffles? i want to do a full core on my exahust cans but id like them to be quieter.

It's a little weird to describe...I didn't take any pictures because the project was just winged after work one day, sitting on the back porch with a beer.  But my baffles are done and they really help dull the loudness.
I got the aluminum sheet and calculated the diameter I needed for the low mount cans by using the diameter of the outlet on the end cap (1.25").  C=pie*d to get the cut width and just guesstimated the length and cut a rectangle out of the sheet.  They wrap the rectangle around a broomstick handle and kind of gently beat it into submission until I got a nice cylinder.  I notched the end in a few spots on one side and flanged it out.  Because the sheet bent into a cylinder has some flex, I opened it up a bit so when I pushed it into the endcap it locks in place via expanding.  I will take some pics today and post up.  I really like what they do, but I'm thinking of reopening the can and putting more small baffles on the outlets inside my shortie cans (each one has two outlets that could be baffled and then have the endcap outlet baffled and I think i will get the sound I am looking for. 
They take away the crack without losing the bass of the exhaust note.  I really like the new tone with the homemade baffles.  Lately I've been listening to my intake and I want to open my box so I can hear that swoosh of the intake also.
