I have the opportunity to pick up an oil cooler off a 750 to graft onto my 620.

Any known problems with this?  Any specific parts I should ensure I obtain from the seller?

Thanks

the cover might be the tricky bit... does the 750 have that sensor for the head like the 620 does?

Maybe if it was injected.

If not any valve cover with the mount should work

Only the fuel injected M750, which limits you to one year.  I'm not sure if 900 valve covers with the 5.9 computer fit, if they do that would increase your possibilities.

The M800 cover should work, too, but somewhat slim pickins there as well.  Only 2 years production.

How about S2R800 cover?

2000-2002 M900
2002 M750
2003-2004 M800
2005-2007 S2R800

All those will interchange and provide the required sensor mount and cooler mount.

AFAIK, all '2-valve' belt drive valve covers are the same profile and bolt pattern, except for DS and 696.

So they'll interchange.

I'm pretty sure the valve cover from '02 M750, '02 M900, M800 and S2R800 will all work for a high-mount oil cooler on an M620.

I can go check my 996, but it's probably different from a Monster

The one on the 996 mounts very much like the Monster.

The ears are ~4 3/4" apart and they use an insulator like the ones on an SBK exhaust as opposed to the rubber peg like a 2V monster.
