if i had a garage i would be tempted as hell to buy it and chop it up... i'm only semi-tempted to buy it and ride it, given the uncertainty of how the title is transferred.  definitely not a bike you want to buy with the expectation of selling later with an (at best) rebuilt/salvage title.  though, $6k is a pretty damn attractive figure...

hmm..seller just emailed me and told me it was actually street legal when it left texas, and that dmv in OK inspected the frame and found no damage.  though that's a far cry from AMS inspecting a frame...

though the other thing to think about is the availability of insurance if you're going to drive it around.  most places won't want to touch it, and those that will probably just offer liability i'm guessing?  and even then, how do they handle the valuation of it in the event of a total loss?
