... This summer. Sometime after the 4th of July. Don't have an exact date. I'm getting stationed on a ship out of San Diego. I'll be there for at least 4 years and likely until I retire in about 10 more.

I'm bringing my 03 M400 Dark (matte silver). I'll have to get a new gauge cluster and likely tune it a bit if I plan on getting her on the freeway with any reasonable speed.

If anyone knows of a townhome w/ garage and minimal yard becoming avail on a military paycheck, let me know. Also, any known good/bad neighborhoods. I'm a sponge for housing info.

Can't wait to see you all.

Hi there!

Wow you are a lucky duck to be stationed in San Diego!! My dad got the same luck back in 1990 as he was in the Navy and got stationed here as well. He was born and raised in Pennsylvania so it was a nice change for all of us. You will love it here!

You should come to Cycleworks after your move-we would all love to meet you! We are a hop skip and a jump away from GP motorcycles, the local Ducati dealer and they are a great bunch of guys as well. We are in a new shop close to downtown and hope to be organizing an open house sometime in the summer.

Hope to meet you soon!

I've already been told I have to show up and check out the shop. But, it will likely be after the M400 gets uncrated. I really hope I don't have to wait to long to get my household goods or to get the M400 registered. Military shipped her as a "US Spec" bike because she shares emissions with her bigger cousins. Just need to see what it'll take to get all the title and a registration paperwork.

The trip likely won't include any slab though. Wide open, she barely hits 80.

Try to stop in SB on your way through.  waytogo Or I'll have to grab Joel and road trip down there and get you all drunk as a house warming gift.

I think I can work something out. Right now the plan is to pick up a beater of an automobile (old pickup, jeep, FJ, Rover, or some sort of convertible - Know any?) up in the SF area while on leave and drive South. I've got no problems stopping in SB for the night, if you got room.

Right now, I'm trying to find a Condo to buy. It's a PITA. Lots of neighborhoods and communities. Know a good RE agent?
