So, after the swapping of my headlight out for the KTM headlight, I've decided I need to lower the gauges. That said, I have absolutely zero fabrication capabilities or welding experience.

Anyone in the Atlanta area done this? I can make it worth your while!

It's super easy. There's quite a few threads for how to do it. You ust need a Dremel.

It doesn't look like you have much room with the ktm headlight there...

I've got a fair bit of room:

I've read some of the tutorials, but it still seems a bit daunting....

its not daunting. if you want it done cheaply mookie found a nice way to do it with rivets. if you want it looking like it came like that, taft sells them lowered already (if he has or he'll modify yours). or if you have a TIG or MIG capable of welding aluminum then you can just do that.

Damn, I did a search and found nothing. Can anyone pull the info from TOB? I posted results over there and I remember at least 2 threads around lowering that did not require any welding whatsoever

You can simply cut the top of the U bracket and put the gauges between the triple and the bracket. That's what I did and I followed the advice of many wiser men before me.

It should fit without lowering the light. I broke down and created a new account in TOB. Mistake, but I did find the old thread. Unfortunately, all the pics are gone and then I remembered that I deleted all my posts in a fit of rage after BP's board was deleted. Not much info to be had, but Nakid might still have the pics and he can explain how he did it, since he's the one that was most helpful when I was doing it.
