Nice... waytogo

Do you have access to spray equipment, or is that a garage/rattle can job?

I have been kicking around the idea of using small pics of playboy centerfolds to do a collage of naked chicks, it would look like your typical mumble jumble graphic from a distance but up closer it would be T&A here, a pretty face there, a bush and I dont the president.

I work at a collision repair shop so when its slow I mess around with my own stuff, try new ideas and such. sometime I rattle can stuff but only when I am looking to ghetto something but mostly use RM basecoat clearcoat system.

Hate to poop on the parade (all nice helmets BTW), but can't paint affect the structural integrity of the hard surface of a helmet?? Huh?

No.

Your thinking is 40 years old when helmets may have been something other than composites.

All composites can be refinished without affecting them structurally. You wouldn't want to use stripper on them, but paint is fine.

Hell....I'm not even 40 years old.... laughingdp

Yeah, I've heard different takes on the paint thing. Good to hear your opinion that modern helmets can be painted...

Beautiful...   waytogo

Designs like this look so much better than the busy, psychedelic, technicolor yawn racer replica helmets.   vomit

I made it when I was working at the student copy shop here on campus....

Quick search for daffy duck sticker gives this:

like ducpainter said the new tech poly paints dont affect the shell like the older lacquer and enamel paint did. they (lacquers and enamels) were mainly solvent based, the newer polys are more like epoxy with a dedicated hardener, solvents are very low to be V.O.C compliant making them less aggressive on the substrates. its really more like a coating than a paint. the only thing we dont paint are airbags.
