If you missed it, WSBK started this past weekend and is now broadcast on beIN Sports (DirecTV 620) and the new coverage is awesome.  beIN allocated five hours to coverage on Sunday and it was absolutely awesome and virtually commercial free.

I have it recorded if any of you need to experience it.

Reviving an old thread.......

World Superbike begins its 2104 season this weekend at Philip Island!  WSB is broadcast on the BeIn network, which many of you don't get as the network has no agreement with Comcast.  With that in mind I thought I might extend an invitation to the group to come over to the house Saturday evening to watch a bit of racing.  DirecTV does broadcast BeIn network and we use DirecTV's service.

Races start at 5:30 and 8:00.  I'll record them both and I think we should begin watching at around 7:00.  That way we can fast forward through the fluff and concentrate on the racing!

For what it's worth, after early qualifying Suzuki is running out front with Ducati a tenth of a second behind and last year's champion Kawasaki another three tenths back.  Three Ducatis in the top ten.  The Ducati factory's return to WSB after a three year absence seems to be showing results already!

MotoGP is looking up for Ducati this year.  The GP15 is on the top of the time sheets in free practice this week.  Qatar on the 29th....can't wait!!!

WSBK this weekend (the 22nd) in Thailand...the Australia round was CRAZY with Davies (on a Panigale) standing on the box after both races.  The Thai round looks to be at least as good.  Bayliss is running the Thai round just as he did in Australia, and has qualified top ten!

As a guy who doesn't follow racing too closely, didn't Bayliiss "retire" a few years ago?

He did.  Then he came out of retirement for a couple races...  And then "retired" again.  For now.
