ok.. ok...ok... please dont ban be from the board for this... but i met a few guys who race these lil' bastards around go cart tracks here in LA.... they rent out the track for a weekend... party... race... party.... mostly hipsters... but fun group. Got to admit... just picked one up for the race later this month.

a little against my original biker blood... but it is just as fun and WAY cheaper then racing the old 600 i took around the track when i was a teen...  [moto]

I pimp'd the shit out of my moped when I was a kid.  From 12-15 I terrorised the streets of my crappy suburb.  No shoes, no helmet, no worries...

I think I would still ride a vintage 2stroke Vespa or a Madass but most others don't tickle me too much.

Did you see the moped with the clip ons!  Awesome.

check out the moped army. A club started in my home town, now its nation wide. There are a ton of tricked out Puchs, with clip ons too. One guy used to work on Ducatis, he basically gave his puch a termi exhaust slip on, smaller though, all carbon, does 70 mph. I recently heard to record is 85.

Well different strokes ya know. I do know that a lot of people around here get so many DUI's that their licenses get revoked and thus buy a moped because its legal.

Why? I wave to mopeds. They're on two wheels, just like "real" motorcyclists...

well i my hood rat town, when you see people using them like mini van. it's just pretty funny.

We've got a house down the street with a moped gang/club/whatever-they're-called.  I've never felt like such an old man when they ride those stupid little contraptions up and down the street all day long on the weekends.  And the thing its, it's not the noise that bugs me.   It's the disproportionate ratio between the extreme noise and the negligible HP of those ankle-biter bikes.  It makes me wanna get my 130db popcorn maker and run that thing outside their windows at 11am, before they all wake up.

They're also slow as make the beast with two backs in traffic but somehow can't seem to get their asses out of the way of real vehicles.
