My joe rocket jacket has the big tooth zipper to attach to the pants.  My frank thomas pants have the small tooth zipper.  Is there an adapter I can get?

no, you wouldnt want it anyway. Your big zipper should of been zippered to one that fits it, thats what you should use to sew onto the frank thomas. I dont like JR stuff, but their zippers mean business. You can abuse them and ive never had them kink up or fail on me ( i own 2 jackets from JR, one of which im selling the other is a mesh jacket)

Piller, you might want to post up in the gear section - There's also some infor on peoples likes and dislikes in there already. Also, depending on your build some companies fit model might suit you better than others

For me, after trying a bunch of stuff - I've fallen into the Dianese camp. I was lucky enough to pick up a used jacket off another board member that fits me perfectly. Which is rather a shock since I have really obnoxiously long arms. It so happens that this jacket (santa monica) actually fit my simian build.

But there's all sorts of options.  If you've got some time, RevZilla, SportBikeTrackGear and WebBikeWorld havea pretty good number of video and text revews of products

Go to a leather repair place and they can match one of te zippers or replace both so they zip together. Didn`t the jacket come with the other half for this reason?

I had a slider from my pant leg zipper break last season. they replaced it for me for $15 took two days. Works/ looks brand new.

someone sold me a pair of frank thomas pants, he convinced me they were $400 pants.  I believed him because he was in an upper class neighborhood and he was very professional.  I found a blog where someone bought them with the jacket brand new for $300 in 2006.  I've had the pants less than a day, but he wants $60 to take them back and refund the money.

I'm just going to look for dianese stuff or something.  Thanks for the input, I'll read the reviews.

I went threw the zipper thing when I first began buying gear, a lot of mismatched stuff. Check the zippers, most importantly find a brand that works for you and stick with it, meaning the components will usually inter mix. I have since switched all my gear to Dainese and now have no problems.

Find a leather tailor.  They can put any kind of zipper setup you want.

I even had a belt setup made so I could wear my jacket with my jeans and not have the jacket hiking up.  It's a strip that goes on my belt and zips to the jacket.  holds it in place.

wouldn't the zipper be interrupted by the belt loops?  I'd like to see a picture of that.  sounds cool.

no, it snaps onto the belt after i put it on.  big ass industrial snaps.

i'll make some pics, but it's just a piece of denier polyester with a zipper on on side and snaps on the other.  same stuff they make luggage out of, very tough.

what -tiz says...

its much easier to have the zippers matched than to worry about it when buying.
