i have the vapor on my ktm 450 supermoto.  i love it, and im actually thinking about getting rid of the stock gauges on the monster for one (damn immobilizer).  it is completely programmable. 

you can set two different shift lights,  one light (yellow) will come on, then the next one (red) will come on and they flash back and forth from then.  you can have a certain temp to have warning lights, also with two different temp warnings.  you program the speedo for your size tires, it has a odometer, trip odometer, tach, time, stopwatch, total ride time, and it records your top measured speed, rpm, and temp from the last reset.

its great,  its easy to program, and it does everything i need it to do and more.

the only complaint i have is that the screen that shows the time does not show the engine temp.  its not that bad of a deal, but its something i would have liked to work differently.

I have one on my crf450x.  I love it and have had no problems.  consistent RPM readings, realize that the engine temp comes from the radiator hose insert (you have to cut the hose and insert a metal bridge that picks up the temp of the fluid as ot flows through, so I'm guessing you wouldn't get this feature on an air cooled bike.

The max top speed log can be a bad thing too, I kept trying to go faster through the same section

air cooled, so don't need the temp sensor.

they actually have a temp sensor that is supposed to be placed under the spark plug between the plug and the head.
