I've been through Faster and its sequel.

Can anyone else suggest some good sportbike/moto gp documentaries or movies?

This will keep you busy for a couple days...

Then you can get into the individual year in reviews of the MotoGP & IOM

And there is:

What was the movie where the guys built the GP bike in their garage to go racing?

Found it, Race for Glory.

Ducati: A Story of Passion. Great film available from Proitalia:

Dust to Glory. Baja 1000 race

Brittown. One of my all-time favourite moto docs about a 1971 Triumph Bonneville buildup by Hell on Wheels bike shop in California.

BRITTOWN: a British motorcycle DVD (a cafe racer motorcycle video)

Thanks guys, that IOM TT especially looks good, and good call on the year in review vids.

I second or third the TT history compilation!

I recently read the book "Riding Man" by Mark Gardiner, then watched the companion documentary "One Man's Island"  http://www.onemansisland.com/home.htm
Not great, but interesting enough.

The TV series "Long Way Round" and "Long Way Down" are fun to watch.  I bought a set wich contained both of those and Chalrie Boormans "Road To Dakar".

Oh, read a review of a recent documentary called "Blood, Sweat, &Tires" which sounds like it might be interesting.,

There is a documentary about Joey Dunlop which my brother "made" me watch.  After the first 10 minutes I was hooked and learned a lot about a racer I had not heard of before.  This man raced the IOM many times.  Very good video with racing footage.

the video is called Joey Dunlop 1952-2000.

the one thing I don't like about Troy's story ( I have the DVD ) is the fact that once he gets to the Honda Pons team to ride the Honda GP RC211V, it pretty much ends there and there is so much that happens with that and after to shape the remainder of his career!
