Monster S2R 800 - ALL BLACK

« on: March 14, 2010, 11:16:15 AM »

I need a recommendation for a place I can mail some parts to for chroming. I will check locally as well but I thought someone might have had a good experience with a service like this.

I am experimenting with this effect on some of my smaller parts

I've been looking for that effect or black chrome to coat my headlight ring.  I have not found any place close.

You just need it chromed first and then you spray the powder over it in a light coat and cook it. I am going to have HeMan do the PC.

I used these guys to chrome my Ohlins shocks for my Harley...look very nice and am pleased with their work.  It appears their website is not working - I'd call them and ask what they can do for you.  Only recommendation would be to get a date they will have it done for you.

Also, these guys are off a Harley forum I am on and the guy is running a PC special through the end of March.  One owner is Joe, seems to be really nice, quick response on PM's and has done some nice work on his cycles.

Isn't your headring already chromed to begin with. You should be able to hit it with a black chrome PC and come out nice. I dont really know how it looks first hand. Airborne would be the first one. I have a soda blaster in case it comes out messed up. ill strip it and the chrome will fine.

after looking at www.thepowderpro.com i dont feel to bad about having a bit of a dirty edge on my PC parts!
