No, and you won't get your baggage miss handled either, but you could get wall to wall counseling down to the basement.
Oh I never said I agreed with his call to question the guard.
I'm with you on that. Questionable decision at best.

Not even questionable now these days. Unless you enjoy wood shampoo's.

I know this is WAY off topic, but wow, you guys must live in areas where "the man" has really taken over. I guess that is different parts of the country. We still can question authority here, but then I say this as a federal employee...
Good luck with your flight, hope you have a good trip.

I flew from ATl to IAH to pick up that ST4s. Had a backpack about to burst with riding gear, my sidi boots tied on the back and my helmet in my hand. Luckly there was an empty seat next to me for the flight, so I just stashed everything on/under the seat (some flygirl was being a pregnant dog that day...said my bag had to go under the seat. It wouldn't fit, so she said I'd need to get off the flight. I ignored her, and started emptying out my bag into the overhead bin. Flight was delayed a few as they wouldn't push back till I was seated, etc..but it all fit. I took my sweet time putting it all back in the bag when we landed). They will look at you funny if you wear the helmet

Since when do they have
baggage handlers
at a courthouse?
Go re-read the thread.
they always do, but they usually call them a "cell mate"

Uh-just asking in any way is a bad plan. Get someone having a bad day and your helmet ends up getting confiscated, or just as bad, checked, where the baggage handlers will throw it around.
Why would you mess around with *anything* at airport security?
Because it is your duty as a free American to hassle any useless authority figure and challenge EVERY law you feel is unjust. Avoid being sheeple. They are selling you the illusion of security, not actual security, and I find it repulsive. Courthouse or airplane. If they try and push you around, politely demand a manager. If it is not on the banned list, you will get to bring it along. Stay calm, get management, and make it happen.
Before my GF moved down here she would fly to see me. We ride and we canoe and she is very partial to her own helmet and her own life jacket. Sometimes she would wear her life jacket, sometimes her helmet, and sometimes her helmet and her life jacket. If she wore the life jacket and was carrying a fishing rod tube, she would get lots of older guys talking to her. If she brought just the helmet, she would get lots of younger guys talking to her. If she wore just the life jacket, fellow passengers would be very wary. If she had both the life jacket and helmet, people would steer completely clear of her. Since she flew Southwest all the time, it had it advantages.
