Why do all the winners of MotoGp and Super Bike pull those long wheelies and do burnouts after they win a race ?

Do you suppose that's where these kids get the idea ?

that's how skiers feel about snowboarders

Slight thread jack-

Not sure what part of the planet you are on, but here skiers and snowboards give each other the respect they deserve.  It's only the old crusty people that can't get over themselves that won't drop the whole skier/snowboard bs.  Talent is talent, no matter in what form it comes in.  Now the people in these video are a whole other story.

yeah forgot to mention i'm 40 and been skiing since i was 10, before there were snowboards. and that's how we felt about them when they would scrape the top snow off going down the hill sideways, learning the new sport.
I know it's different today and most hills have a snowboard only run etc. and of course most skiers snowboard and vice versa. was just putting it into perspective.
and i have been skiing in Asia, western US, eastern US, and Europe, so all parts of the planet Wink

Guess this topic is getting a bit tangential, but I'm a snowboarder who lives at Alta, Utah 5 months out of the year (there right now) and I catch a lot of flack being a boarder at a skiers' only resort but at the end of the day I know I can put down a better line than more than 90% of the skiers here. =)

I love all the urban legends about boarders and how strictly people adhere to those claims like we take more snow off the mountain than skiers. (HA!) Not even close...So back to the point, we do things differently either on the mountain or on bikes but the idea is all the same.  You can't hate on anyone for what they love unless they're endangering other people. Stunting is not my thing but I can appreciate the fine-tuned skills required to master that art.

Alta is getting dumped on right now. If you work at Alta, fire up a lift and I'll meet ya there. I'm in the 10% you speak of.  cheeky

I don't know this guy may be the bigger idiot doing a wheelie in front cop then falling off.... The on board camera shows the whole thing.

Which also lans this poor guy in the lack of common sense category...When all else fails LET GO OF THE BIKE!
