having worked at a small shop back in the day...
and having experience with the situation that you describe...

we would never have left for home with your bike sitting outside.
no way.
boss at the time considered it a liability issue.

far easier to deal with an owner that is upset because the bike was unavailable... versus stolen.

i'm sure (hoping..) that is the case for you.

Schrodinger's Cat was supposed to be DEAD in the box man!

Nono-it's not dead until one opens the box, much like the bike isn't gone until the garage opens.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Negative. People don't normally give us information that could be useful.

Negative right back at you

Just because it doesn't happen in Cali it doesn't mean it doesn't happen else where.

It is required where I live.

My guess is he got his bike this morning (from the shop) and is out on a nice ride, which explains why there is no update.
