jerryz, why has your experience been poor, aside from poor quality parts that can fail, i dont see how they can suck.

Well, that may be it, He Man, they do not suck, but they make it harder to blow.  I'm using them because I tinker and they are convenient, but I'd rather not have them.  Here are some for instances:

They reduce the hose effective flow rate from 5/16" to 1/4".
They further reduce the flow rate with the one way valves.
The acetal material is rated for 180F.  This is probably for the liquid temp and not environmental, but when my oil temp soars past 200F, I have another thing to worry about.
The butyl O rings are easy to tear when you connect/disconnect.  Then you have a leak and need to find replacements after you siphon the gas off the bike.

But what I really dislike the most about them, is that they are long enough to make it hard to have a smooth curve in the hoses from the tank to the injectors and regulator.  I have found it easy to button the bike up and have a kink in the hose, reducing the flow even more.

Mind you none of these things are dealbreakers, but they add to the preflight checklist.

So, is there any alternative that anyone knows of?  I just want a way to not fill my garage with fumes if I have my tank off for a day or two while I'm working on stuff  ;D

He Man

its not going to fill with fumes if you empty it out. lol

so does anyone know the ID of the fuel tubes? im about to put in an order at mcmasters and figure id pick a set up.

That's not a change in flow rate to be concerned with on these motors, the change from 5/16 to 1/4 is insubstantial here.
