For those of you around Lake Michigan I've got good news. The Lake Express Ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee is offering free motorcycle fares this May and June!

Ha ha yeah being by the lake is amazing. Everytime i swim in the ocean i get so grossed out by salt water, I don't know how people do it.

LOL I believe your thinking of Lake Erie, you know, the lake that caught on fire?

Lake Michigan has always been releltively clean, as lakes go these days, with the exception of a few invasive species, most recently the asian carp, which will eventually destroy more than just the lake, but all of our streams, and small lakes.... total bummer

but yes, its a beautiful lake.

Just checked the fares on the Badger (Manitowoc to Ludington)  $69 per person + $38/bike - OUCH!  I'd rather drive over the top for that much - prettier too.

this is true, but i saturday afternoon in WI would be a blast if you don't have the time for a weekend trip around the lake. And, i'm south, so to get there, i gotta go through Chicago.

There are only to ferry's, and their both pricey.

do you still have to pay the passenger fair?  last year the bike was 80 and rider 60 or 70 IIRC.  i thought about doing a weekend in MI, but never got around to it.

I was looking at the one way price.  I was thinking about a trip through the UP down to Ludington and across on the Badger but I'll consider looping back up and taking a different route back across the UP.  Just hope it isn't too windy across the bridge.

shoot, that is for two way, when i looked up the price last year i was planning one way too, and then riding around the north end of the lake.  i was wondering how the price doubled in one year, lol.
