As long as there is no cavitation (boiling) or boil over the engine won't mind.

I don't think your bike suffers from an engineering fault, just a simple part failure.

..and your engine didn't overheat. It didn't boil over or lose any coolant. The ecu will shut the engine down when the temp reaches a dangerous level. You chose to preempt that.

Like I said...I think the fan failure has you a bit freaked.
