This is THE prototype that started all the Monsters.  The grand-father of all of Monster-dom.

It's owner, Miguel Galluzzi is the designer of the original Monster in 1992.

I saw this bike @ Pro-Italia's Cafe-Desmo last fall but haven't had a chance to post these up and forgot about them....until this afternoon.

BTW: This is a wooden tank.  Yes, wood.

Okay, you gotta give more explanation about the wooden gas tank.  Is this bike a mock up?  Is there a fuel cell inside the wood?

As far as I know, this is THE prototype so it's not a runner and the 'tank' is made of wood.  It didn't look like it had EVER been ridden BTW...

Oh, and both wheels had casting dates of late 1992...

Funny thing about the cans, just like automobile design trends (boxy to curvy with sharp defined edges, to swoopy smooth forms and back again, etc...) the geometric section exhaust is popular these days. Dunno if I'm making any sense.  Cheesy
