A couple of weeks ago we finally took our long-overdue honeymoon.  Better late than never though!  We spent a week in St. Thomas. ;D

View from our hotel room balcony:

So nice to see MrI relaxing and enjoying life.

There were tons of cool iguanas and other lizards hanging out all over the place:

This is the little ferry that we took to get into town for a bit of shopping.

One day we rented scooters and rode around the island, squidding it up, but they were tiny little scoots, 115cc, and the highest speed limit anywhere on the island was 35 mph and often was 10 mph.

One of the places we rode to was called "Coral World" which had an undersea observatory and some feeding tanks for young sharks and stingrays.

Saw some gorgeous sunsets all week long

We had a fantastic time!

Nothing like a lush tropical paradise...you guys look happy and tired

Do they really put stingrays in the swimming pools there?

Those are stingray waiters. Much like a waiter tray without the need of some resentful islander to bear it. Comes in handy in pool bar. The tails double as a stirrer. Ordering up a "Steve Irwin" results in a mix of tequila, anise, and bourbon whiskey, all ice cold, giving one the impression of a jab to the heart.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

LOL makes perfect sense..sounds like a killer-good cocktail

got stuck going to Aruba 2 years back, they take resentful indigenous to a whole new level of definition if you get them off-script

I believe they are instructed to smile, bow and scrape to the tourists under penalty of death in the waterline areas

was stuck there for almost a week and blogged the experience of being marooned on a desert island of scrub cactus and goats

almost ready to swim to Chavez's Venezuela to escape

Sooooo, how was the Fenchmans Reef Marriott?  Nice pics, they look just like mine from September.  My wife and I stayed at one of the Morning Star rooms right down on the beach.  I miss that place.  We snorkeled, hiked, swam, took a rented jeep over to St John.  It was great.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.
