super random desmo rr sighting

ok this kind of blew my mind the day it happened so since it is Sat night and I am still blown away... I though I would share. Perhaps it will not be a big deal to many or maybe someone even knows who it was.
As most of you who frequent this forum know, I recently moved to denver. So far I have gotten around a bit in town on the bike but I was wondering and was anxious to see the conditions of mountain roads and how much longer I would have to wait to get out on them safely. This past Tuesday, I took a fishing trip with a buddy of mine out to the lake george area and we took 285 all the way out. I wasnt driving but I was thinking the entire time how terrible the road conditions were for my bike. Forget about the fact that it was 10 degrees and icy, there was sand and pot holes all over the place. Then at about 8am in the morning we stopped for gas at the loaf n jug and I heard the sound of something SWEET headed down bull dogger to the intersection of 285. Still not knowing what it was, I jumped out of the car like it was on fire and even my buddy who knows squat about bikes could tell it was something sick. As the sound got closer and finally rounded the turn, I could see the unmistakable red with the white race stripe down the side! As it approached the intersection the rider passed behind the gas station and I had to run and jump up on a picnic table to keep my eyes on him/her. The rider made a left turn and headed off toward denver on a road that I would feel uncomfortable on with a dirt bike.
So... thats my story of my super random Desmo RR sighting. Anyone agree?
