Thanks ! I really need to do something to that ugly lower clamp.  I'll probably lower the front light too ...

Ahahaha I was afraid someone would notice.  I've bought a very old house and I'm pretty much destroying the interior =).   And before someone makes a comment about the hole in my bumper, yes, it was my wife.

Your bike looks great, but personally I don't have a prob with the stock look.

With a little gentle persuasion you can get to cans to seat fully down into the exhaust pipes too.  Those are barely into the pipes.

bacon bacon Looks great.  I'm planing on doing a similar chop in a few weeks.  Those shots give me even more confidence in the look.

Pictures dont do a real justice, the bike really feels shorter and meaner.  A tad louder but nothing drastic.  Not really hard to do, took me about an hour and a half.  Measure the pipes on the bike, take off boths cans.  I've popped the rivet out with a drill, removed caps, chop saw at 4 inches with a metal/carbide blade, realign caps, drill holes, rivets, bingo.  Remember to wear a mask or something, carbon is nasty as hell.  Here's some other shot/different cut :

And here's some excellent videos by CCEMN1 with his 6 inches cut.

matte black looks great. I have a question though, i have a dark, and have had trouble cleaning it, since you cant wax it, and most car wash soaps have detergent and waxes in them, what are you going to use?

I use Hertel "all-purpose" Bio cleaner (not sure if its sold in the US).  There no wax in it.  It works perfectly.
