No FHE but this suit got good marks in the RiDE tests (abrasion, seam strength, etc)

i REALLY like hte hein gerike. but i cannto find a size 38 in the US and im trying my best to avoid buying from over seas. you know what if it comes with a small rip etc. I wonder why Sportbiketrackgear.com no longer imports them.
friend has one of the celtic suits. i think its a really nice suit and really well made especially for the price

Are you dead set on the one-piece? The Hein Gericke Tricky two-piece also got good marks, and I know there are a lot of domestic sources (for the jacket, at least).
Another brand I was shopping was Spyke - not a lot of dealers in N America, but there are a few on eBay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SPYKE-BLASTER-DIV-MEN-2-PIECE-LEATHER-SUIT-BLACK-48-38_W0QQitemZ350331818698QQcmdZViewItemQQptZApparel_Merchandise?hash=item51916752ca
... in Germany, so probably a no-go for you.
That's too bad about the Kobe - it seemed like a good choice of suit for that price range. Do you think a different, or more spacious crotch helmet would help?

Did you check out any of the custom suits. Maybe just save up a little more and you can get your CUP custom fit in there. Maybe they`ll put a pocket for it in there. I don`t remember all of them but heres two,
http://www.spartanleathers.com/
(Custom starting at $550) ,
http://www.heroicracing.com/index.html
( These guys are in Queens and I think will come to your house to measure you), There are more, there is one in CA that does them inexpensive too but I can`t think of the guy.

I noticed the higher up a product line you go, the more comfort features they have, (more / better stretch panels in the crotch, knees, and waist, etc..) I suggest saving up a little bit more money, there are a lot of choices nearer the $1000 price.
At a minimum, I may get this one in black and white, notice the stretch material in the crotch

The new version of this suit,
http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=DAI_1513308-L00-48_G
has the softer leather, and updated armor and liner, which is what I have my eyes on.

http://www.1000rr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=72619
not sure im an all black guy though. Its got to be hot as balls in the summer.
On eBay there is a brand new Laguna Seca 1 piece in white for $650
and also a member selling his for $600 used (in comparision id pay the extra $50 for the new one, unelss i can get the used on for around 500 or so) the Dainese retails over $1200 but is it actually worth that much? Or am i pyaing for the name?

What's your height and weight? I've got a used red & white Vanson 1 piece to sell (an older verson, so it's their good leather before they went to the cheaper stuff). It's either a 40 or a 38. I was gonna eBay it.

5'6" 30inch inseam, if i go for the kobe, im defintely going up to a 40.
but i wear a 38 in teknic suits, hows the legs on them? i lost some weight in my theighs and theres too much room in my kobe calf now.
im looking at dainese's sizing chart, 34US/44EU on paper is a PERFECT match to my specs, but the chest is way to small. (38"chest, vs 34")
