Has anyone tried these DP side bags for the 696?

I'd love to hear your impressions.  Especially how are they attached?  Do they get very hot?
I understand there is some sort of subframe.
Are there any photo's of the setup?

They are very expensive, so I'd like some reviews before I buy!

Thanks
Amnesia

Hi Amnesia,

I'm surprised you didn't get any replies to that thread as the 696 is a great bike for touring. Me and a group of 5 friends tour Europe and I use the Ducati tailpack that fitts very neatly on the rear of the bike once the plastic cowl hs been removed. However you can only get just enough kit in it for a 5 day tour - max. So side mounted luggage would be perfect and I've been looking for some myself. However like you mentioned the exhaust cans do protrude quite a bit so just wondering with the sub-frame fitted how wide the bike would actually be?
