What a stupid idea! Just feeds the stereotype that ducati riders don't actually ride...

I was talking with Michael Lock the Ducati N.A. CEO over a couple of beers a couple of years ago (Oct 07?)
He said, on average, Ducati riders in the U.S. ride just UNDER 2000 miles a year.

He would know -I'm sure they track that stuff.

Sounds like a bunch of folks DON'T ride much...   Undecided

Just look at the bikes for sale, and their mileage. That and the fact anything over say, 15K on a bike for sale is considered "a lot" and yeah-the bikes don't get ridden a lot.

I was a statistical outlier until I hurt my neck. 25k in the first year alone=I win at life.

I would tend to disagree on that one...(at least on my end)

My S2R 1k has 19k on her and climbing

996 has 15k ( bought 1.5 yr ago with 8k on the odo)

998 has 13k ( bought less than 1 yr ago with 8.4k on the odo)

and I know several other Duc owners who ride as much if not more than I do....

Maybe its different elsewhere..

SoCal is nothing like the rest of the country.

Luckily, the rest of the country has not figured this out  Wink

wish there was on in LA.

If you want, I'll sell you a bottle of water for $10 and we can say you went to a Ducati cafe.

And from my experience, a lot, maybe not most, but a lot of Ducati owners have one, not to ride, but to say they have one.   And maybe profile around a bit.   For many people, it's an image enhancer, but I think it is just another bike.   One that will come and go.

Huh?  That missed the mark more than Michael Bay did when he made Pearl Harbor.

I didn't say i wanted overpriced water to be a poser

There is a bit of a hole in your logic.

Just 18 months ago 2 of your 3 bikes had well below average mileage on them ... but I commend you for trying to keep the average as high as it is Wink
