Evening everyone, I'm looking to replace my stock '07 Monster 695 headlight with the Dominator Dual Headlights. From what I have researched it fits the stock headlight bracket but I'm concerned about the wiring part. Has anyone tackled this project and if they did can they offer some advice on wiring/installation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a link to the dual headlights...

Thanks,

I installed a dual headlight a little while ago, that came with the wiring out of the light already locked into a housing, and an additional pigtail that needed to be spliced into the stock wiring harness.  It wasn't a problem, I used butt splicers to connect the pig tail, each to the appropriate hi, lo, and ground connections, and it worked no problem.  Gives you the flexibility to remove the light for maintenance and such.

Says that light there has 3 prongs, which I will assume takes the parking light away.

I have a set thats for sale if you are interested.

Mine is plug and play. you have to take the wire that connects the bikes harness to your H4 bulb out of your bucket and use it to connect these.

It has the provisions for the parking light, but i removed mine because well, the thing is useless to begin with.

He Man and NoisyDante,

Thanks for the advice. I didn't realize that the H4 connector was inside the stock headlamp, good information to know. I also found the Dominator Headlights cheaper here...

OK, one last question...where can i purchase the black cloth tape used to wrap wires, similar to the tape already used on the 695?

You've been a great help. Thanks guys. I'll post pics when I complete this project.

I would really like to see a 696 with these. I've considered it, but im not as technically inclined to make a new bracket to lower my cluster.

Are the H4 bulbs high/low? I noticed both buckets have H4 's in them

I used some black hockey tape to wrap mine again.  So far it has been pretty durable, that tape is made to weather a beating, and the adhesive seems to be holding.
