Question....did they mount directly to the bars? My bar (S4r) is ~22mm in diameter, so I'm not sure how the 26-30mm adaptors would work.
Yes Theo, they mount either on the bar itself, or on bar-end plugs. Shouldn't be too difficult to machine up an adapter of your own.

Just a heads up boys, there are a couple US based sellers for these now and cheaper. Look like they use the same pics even. I stumbled on to them when just doing a generic search for bar end mirrors.
Figures...no sooner that I buy these, that someone sell them cheaper! Great price...$20 cheaper for the pair than I paid for them!!! Smoking deal boys and girls!!

Gotcha. I figured I can make a adapter if need be, but was curious if you needed to. Seemed like you mounted them on the bars, but the ad....

Yup, mine mounted on bars using their thick adapter, but even that one was tight and I had to "persuade" it with a rubber mallet.

Thanks for the review lion.
Surprised the glass is not convex. Maybe that, and the price, are the differences with the Rizoma. Can anyone confirm the Rizoma Reverse Retro has convex glass?
yea boo for flat glass.
I shelled out for rizomas (not reverse retro) and was VERY
dissapointed to find flat glass. however my mirrors were the cheaper kind, not the $350+ of the awesome prototypes etc. i figured they must be convex and thats why they cost more

Riding to work tomorrow so I'll have some opinions after that. Maneuvering them is a little tough will all the set screws and bolts. I don't really like the whole metal sleeve thing holding them on. I might try figuring something else out for that. I like the simple friction setup the Napoleans use.
I also plan to replace all the set screws with quality stainless versions and blue loctite them.
I'm planning to replace my bars (suburban machine) at some point as well and will fill that gap between the barends and the grips at that point.

better vision than the napoleans. Seemed like no matter where I put those my elbows still blocked them. The convex lense helps on these, I can see directly behind me and still see most of my blind spot. Tested them out a little with slower traffic and by the time I can't see them in the mirror I can see them in my peripheral vision.
My only complaint is I had to augment the mounting with some rubber strips or it wobbled, no matter how tightly it was mounted. Adjusting them whilst riding is pointless, soon as I touch them to nudge one way or another, the clamping mechanism lets go and suddenly it's very loose. twist it back the other way, tightens back up. I might try to fashion up a rubber tube like the napoleans use. That seems more user friendly.
Overall I'm satisfied. I wish I didn't feel so dirty for buying them off ebay from some nigerian prince in Hong Kong.

so I took the rubber tube piece off my napoleans, tool the shims off the m-label mirror, put the rubber on, turned the wedge nut thing around, so the wide end pressed against the rubber, and voila, a nice stable clamping mech that doesn't come undone at a feather's touch. Of course, the napoleans are out of commission from being canabalized, but it works until I can find some other suitable tubing.

Got mine and installed them yesterday. I bought them from the $20 cheaper guy on ebay, and he shipped them VERY fast. I don't mind the blue glass. Finish is decent but doesn't match the dark color. Mounting is a sinch. I would recommend these to everybody with a naked bike.

I run the mirrors the opposite way, with the flat towards the inside. MUCH better viz that way. But I suppose it's a style thang.
