Personally I'm on the fence about the movie. I really was a fan of the show and remember the high point in Mr T's career where he was on TV, in the movies, and even made into a cartoon. From what I've heard, everyone but T will have a cameo (minus the late George Peppard). And while I think that the movie could stand to be entertaining, I'm really trying not to let my own fandom impressions get in the way.

In a way, I'm glad that they did make these obvious changes to the van so as to not tarnish the image of the origonal.

We'll see. Hopefully it'll get a strong kick into the present like Star Trek did last year (but I'm not holding my breath).
Don't forget his cereal too!

Well, at least they picked a cool van. Knowing the utter lameness of recent Hollywood, while waiting for the pics to load I was half expecting to see a dolled-up, late-model Caravan.

Like most movies trying to rejuvenate an old, great premise, I think I'll wait to watch it when it comes out on DVD. That is, if I watch it at all......

You do realize that it is the same model and year van as the origional right?

I think that doing something like that would have nailed the coffin shut on the movie being a flop - like if the Dukes of Hazzard had been filmed without the right car!

That one is ok but I prefer this one!

They make that a third of the way into the movie out of a garbage pail, some crinkly metel, and an arc welder out of some old batteries they find in an abandoned barn.  ;D

Just as quickly as it was shown in public, today a new trailer has been released that shows the poor van's ultimate destruction. Jump to 2:15 to see it:

I'm in. I love that stuff. Even in the 80s the original show took the corn to a new level. Remeber how guys would be shooting at them with automatic weapons and...nothing. Or they'd be shooting dudes left and right and they'd just fall down, no blood. Funny.
I'm still pissed at Rampage Jackson though. He missed his fight with Rashad Evans to make this movie. That was gonna be a doozy. I hope that fight still gets made. Judging from the trailer, Mr Scorcese won't be calling any time soon.
BTW, I met Mr T at my gym. Really nice, funny guy. No attitude. But he is Mr T, no act. First time I met him I heard this voice, "What kinda fool would make that trade?" Wow, that sounds like Mr T! And it was!
