Bitubo Catridge kit

You find a lot of catridge kits for forks to be in the $1000 range, but this is pretty cheap. How much better than stock are these aftermarket kits?

It is less but the other, more expensive, units give you adjustable damping.
That unit can't be easily restacked either due to the "Hydraulic unit in a sealed and nitrogen pressurised cartridge, with oversize pistons and laminar packs studied for the perfect control of damping."
What if you don't like the damping characteristics?

yeah, it looks like the only adj is preload. big deal, how's that different than what's on lots of monsters to begin with? Possibly better valving and such, but without the ability to adjust it.
if it was adj, it would be a great kit

Without adjustability I don't see the point.
I'd rather buy a used set of adjustable forks and get them valved/sprung for my needs.

Agreed. Racetech is cheap by most measures. Used forks from a monster or supersport with adjustable forks can get you there. Superbike forks can too, and have more options for cartridge kits to replace their internals.
