All,

I was up in Colorado Springs for a quick weekend trip to see my sons and for Easter. My son (white 848) and I went over to Pikes Peak Motorsports and we were very disappointed. My concern when Pikes Peak Harley bought out Southern Colorado Ducatii/BMW was that the Ducatis would be shoved in a corner like a bastard step child and that is what has happened. Five bikes in the showroom and one outside. Two Monsters, two 2009 Multistradas, a black 1198S, and a pear white 1198 outside. That's it.  Glad I am down here in Albuquerque and PJs has the whole Ducati lineup, other than the new Multistrada, including one of those 1198S Corses. It is a beauty.  My son even commented about the bastard step child. It is really sad.

Hey!  Sorry I missed you.  Thanks for the two boxes of Slimfast Chocolate Bars you left on my porch.  You must have seen the pictures I posted of our ride last Sunday!  Yup, the leathers are fitting pretty snug.   laughingdp laughingdp laughingdp  Thanks, also, for scouting out PPM for us.  Sometimes I feel so sorry for them (and us) that it is such a dismal state of affairs.  Then I remember that they had a choice and obviously made the wrong one as far as the local Ducatisti are concerned.

We will miss you on our rides this season, Mytduk.  We will plan some down south, too, so you had better plan on meeting us halfway.   [moto]

Yeah, its a pretty sad state of affairs over there. I still drop in every couple of months. Interesting though, because I was there a couple of weeks ago and seemed like they still had the same (or at least by appearances) couple of Streetfighters, 848's and bikes you mention in the showroom that I remember from last July. Maybe they actually sold more Ducati's in the last 2 weeks than the last 9 months (or maybe they just moved them to the back).

Seems like each time I drop in I get jumped by a different salesperson too. There just does not seem to be any continuity there like in the old place.

I had a feeling that would happen as well. THey did the same thing with the MV Augusta(it was litterally in a nook under the stairs) and yes I used the singular on purpose. The Buells got only slightly better treatment with their own little room in a far corner of the showroom.

Have not seen the pictures you posted from last weekend Bonfy, so I don't know how the leathers fit. I just knew you liked the slim fast brownies and brought them by.  I got your message this morning about getting together for a ride on Sunday. I will miss the folks in the club and the local riding areas.
