Madduc Velocity Airfilters

So i bought these velocity air filters after the website said it would fit an S4R. I tried to install them and they wouldn't work. I called Madduc and talked to a tech. He said the S4R stacks were a bit smaller and that if i returned them he would refund my money. Cool deal. But i was just curious if the bigger velocity stacks would fit the intake? I like the look and simplicity of the filters, but if it's too much work to try and make them work ill just return them. Any thoughts?
