Question:

Part 1)
Is it possible to ceramic coat the 1100 exhaust with the flapper gate in the midpipe or do I need to replace it with a 696 midpipe?

Part 2)
Has anyone put the 1100 flapper midpipe on a 696?  If I need to, I'm thinking about just swapping the midpipes between my 696 & the 1100.  Aside from hindering the 696 exhaust, any negatives?

AFAIK nobody has done so. Why would anybody want to place an ugly, clumsy obstruction where currently there aint?  Although since both dennisd and I have successfully fitted 696 midpipe to 1100 >> http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=28586.msg638477#msg638477 << I guess the 1100 midpipe would fit on a 696 if you have both and want to simply move the flappiness from one bike to the other.

Part 1)
I guess its... possible to ceramic coat the 1100 midpipe with the flapper in situ - although if you do it will never again function as a flapper should the need arise to return it to stock for some unforeseen reason.  My whole reason for researching the fitment of 696 midpipe to 1100 was for exactly that purpose, so that I could have the whole thing ceramic coated (to alleviate some o' that under seat heat).

i've only ridden on a superbike with an EVR slipper - and it was fantastic. Thanks for the guys at AMS "proving it was better" when I challenged them.
