Well, I just picked up a used 2006 Triumph Speed Triple with 4200miles on it today   waytogo

I still have my beloved DM 620  2004 with now 43K (all me  Grin) miles and plan on keeping it for as long as I can afford to maintain both.  If one has to go, I stand firm right now that it will be the Triumph.  I keep telling my Triumph riders that but they think I am crazy.

I will post up pics this weekend with both at the stable.   But in the meantime, here are a few pictures from the previous owners ad picture.

Loving it so far.

Downside, the seat sucks.  I swear my balls are hurting so match and so uncomfortable.  i have to keep moving to avoid the pain.  Very Very painful   Cry  At this point, I doubt I can do long ride with that seat.  Not sure how the other dudes say it is comfortable.

Yeah, it is a rowdy bunch over there.   Grin

So far I am liking this bike a lot.

I wish it was black but I could not pass up this deal.  I won't really do anything major to it other than ride.  Removed all the stock plate.  A friend made me a bracket to put the plate way under.  Changed oil , bled the brakes, lubed the chains this afternoon.  I will have to stick with the stock muffler for a long while since I simply can't afford to replace it.

I have to confess.  It has been a couple of weeks now and I did not touch my monster until today.  Boy did it feel weird to get on my monster.
First, I know that this are two different classes of bike totally unrelated except for being naked.
But today, I felt my 620 monster was like a bicycle.  It was just a strange feeling after riding my monster since 2004.  First, the S3 sits so high that now on the monster, I thought I was on a tricycle.  It was just weird experience.  I just realize the power difference and everything.
I have already put over 800miles on the S3 now and banged out with friends.  S3 cornering and leaning is awesome.  The pick up power is just awesome.  It's great to hang out with the 1000cc folks right in front pack instead of back pack.    I was surprised that I was riding all this years with my buddies on higher cc bikes on my monster.
All in all, loving the S3 but the monster 620, she served me well and the future is unknown.  Hang on to it and use it for to and from work etc...or.....
Just expressing my thoughts and new experience.....
Still loyal to the Monster but welcoming the high cc / hp experience of the S3.
