G'day,

A quick note to do an introduction on this forum.  Went for a coffee yesterday to get some charge in the battery of my 2009 GSF1250SA Bandit, and came home with a Monster 1000 dark.... not the cheapest cup of coffee I've ever had!

I had seen the Monster in the shop so decided I'd have a look/test ride while doing the charging chore. The Monster had all the right moves/sounds/actions and I'm still smiling nearly 24hrs later. I think I've made a good choice.

I've been riding for over 30 years and have had about 20 or more bikes over that time - some were even Ducati's:

D1:  1980 Darmah
D2:  2000 ST2
D3:  1995 916 (never should have sold this classic)
D4:  2003 Monster 1000 dark with Ducati performance bits.

Enough waffle - time to sign off and go monster taming.

Welcome and congrats on your M1000! waytogo

Wow, that's definitely the most expensive, but maybe the most fun cup of coffee I've heard of.  coffee Grin

We love bike pictures, so feel free to post up if you have any to share.

Not sure from your greeting if you are from Oz or not, but if so we do have a local board: Oz Monsters.

Have fun! [moto]

Yep - Canberra based Ducatista, that's me.

I'll 'drop in' to the Oz forums too.

Welcome!

Your story reminded me of a friends father who went for a pair of new gloves, and came home with a new BMW Z3  laughingdp
