I am leaning more and more toward the boomtubes. I think a SSSA benefits most from not having the pipes to obstruct the view of the rear wheel.
i've always thought the same.

i ahve termis on my 696, carbon, and I love the sound, but am seriously considering going to these
http://www.ca-cycleworks.com/docs/products?id=1652
I am trying to sell my termis slip ons (anyone?)
has anybody heard these arrows before? as loud as termis w/ db killers removed? sound difference?
Be sure to post a pic of those arrows once you install them. I've never seen those before, I like them and the price is right. No one has mentioned what I would have percieved to be the biggest advantage of the boomtubes.......eliminating the weight of the exhaust up high. I would also think there would be less heat eminating from under the seat. Maybe these are imperctable in real world riding??
thanks!

Hey Tom, looks like you wrote inside the quote there. THe boomtubes do reduce weight, but theyre more of an esthetic design, and loudness. Looks nice with a SSS

I would say Arrows. The full S*R systems sound great. I know alot of people with Termi slip-ons and full systems and I think those sound great as well. I think the deciding difference for me was the more raw sound of the Arrows.
As for boomtubes, well, it takes a special kind of rider to run boomtubes.

Remus sound the best in my opinion.
Termi and Arrow sound good as well. Most brands sound good though.
Boomtubes look
great
on the SSS monsters, but I'm leery of how they'll sound. NO FHE, but I suspect they'll lose some of the bass that makes Ducatis sound so great. Kinda like hearing a 916 vs. a D16RR. Both sound good...but the 916 sounds great.

I really have to completely agree with this. Motocreations boomtubes elimination of exhaust cans is so dang cool looking.

I just put a set of carbon Arrows on my 696
My brother-in-law has the carbon Termis on his 696
I think that the sound from both is very close
However, I like the more streamlined shape of the Arrows - not really a fan of the shape of the Termis
I also think that the welds on the Arrows are better - carbon looks like it comes from the same source
In the end - just a matter of preference

Are the boomtubes that much louder than Termi's? I understood that with the baffles in they were on par with some of the other exhaust systems in terms of loudness.

I have a set of ART exhausts on my 01 m750 and compared them to an 99 m900 with arrows. I like my ART ones better but that doesn't help you much considering that they don't make them anymore.

I would love to know as well. I want some noise but I don't want to be setting bystanders on fire and exploding old ladies.

The boomtubes I have heard did not have baffles to my recollection. They were fairly loud and definitely louder than Termi's.
