It puts the billet aluminum on the motorcycle...

« on: April 17, 2010, 06:14:48 PM »

...having a fiancee who tolerates three Ducatis and a Yamaha in the garage Grin

Oh...and happiness is also having 170hp, traction control, sticky Pirellis, and Ohlins to keep you on the road during the inevitable HIGH Speed CHP chase:

This thing is an absolute beast. I rode her back from Monterey today...the first part of the journey I made sure to set the traction control to 7(of Cool. The bike was fast, nimble, and just wanted to run at high speeds, but lugs a bit down low. No surprise there. But after visiting some of BikerGoddess' friends in Morgan Hill I set it to 4 and the front wheel started coming up at regular intervals.

Can't wait to get this thing set up properly...

Very very nice DQ. Did you go with new or used. I only ask cause I noticed no Termi's.

Thanks! It's slightly used, with 1400 miles...wait, make that 1600 miles after riding it home yesterday and flogging it in Marin today.

I said it before, but it bears repeating...make the beast with two backs this bike is fast. I rode it in Marin today...Lucas Valley, Nicasio, Pt Reyes Station, and south. Lots of cars, but the open road parts were incredible.

I had heard that the superbikes will roast your arse in traffic, and I got to experience that firsthand today coming home. But you take the good with the bad Grin

Congrats!

He was acting like a kid on Christmas eve the night before we picked up the bike. I had to give him a tranquilizer just to get some sleep.  laughingdp

I was longingly eyeballing the 1198 in Munroe Motors on Saturday.

Congrats!
