Actually, Smirnoff is one of the better ones.

And vodka can be made out of just about anything.

A "neutral spirit" can be made from just about anything containing sugar. What makes a Vodka is defined differently by different countries.  The pineapple "vodka" currently being made in Hawaii would not likely qualify as such in most of the rest of the world.

You'd think Idaho with all the freaking tater fields in the south would have got on this
a long time ago but now there are a couple idaho vodkas that are good;
44 degrees and Spudka, both good spud juice vodkas

also local owned instead of a big mfr

i find potato vodka to be too sweet in a straight martini....better in sweeter concoctions.

i have a similar problem to the OP...i have a bottle of huckleberry vodka hiding in the back of the cabinet.
havent found a way to drink it i like. might end up with 7-up (or club soda) when the weather feels summery

wait got it- try mixing the ras vodka with lemonaide.

KnightofNi

we bought a bottle of blackberry vodka.

we tried several times to get a recipie to work for it.
we then tried diff recipies. it was awful.

it's still sitting there and is a running joke.

blackberry vodka would work in a voodoo doll
1oz vodka
1oz black raspberry liquer
fill with equal parts OJ and cran juice

never understood flavored vodka.
always thought the whole point of the stuff was to add it to whatever flavor you wanted to drink.

vodka + OJ = tastes like OJ
vodka + coke = tastes like coke

what am i missing?
This map is upside down, the plan is written in crayon, and the weather forecast is from 2011.

or maybe that is exactly the point of this post?

For me, by the time I add in enough vodka to make it worth it to drink, it tastes like rubbing alcohol mixed with coke.

Or oj.

Last night I discovered that sweet/sour mix easily covers the taste of vodka.

I paid for that discovery today.  Raging headache.

Agony actually ;D

Is someone likely to make that trade?
