Speedcell A123 batteries

After doing some small research, I found a guy on U-tube taking a Dewalt battery pack apart and using those cells. On Ebay, you can find new packs for less than $50. Would these cells work for a bike? He said they are A123 cells, but did not say the mah. My thinking is maybe we can buy the cells alot cheaper in an indirect way.

From what I understand they are A123 cells but an old version of them.  Maybe someone else can chime in with more details.
