I'm interested, but it's about a 50:50 chance at this time.  Other priorities and weather are the key drivers for me.  Latest forecast I saw indicated a strong chance of showers/T-storms on Sunday afternoon.

It's probably out of the question, but any consideration given to moving the ride to Saturday?  I'm aware it conflicts with the Gold Cup and potentially with Statler's gig which is set for the evening, but a ride ride on Saturday would up my chances to make it.

For some reason I had it in my head that this was Sat.. even though it plainly says SUNDAY.  I was planning to ride that day, and this might just suit the bill Smiley

I'll post up my solid in or out status when I figure it Smiley  I'd probably intercept G-Town Pike and Linganore. Since I don't think we've met - look for a 900S with all manner of carbon gizzys on it and a Checker Flag tank. That'll be me

DC, you in? If I can make it then we could do the seat exchange then. I should be able to make it.

1. Ya, yuu, we'll pick you up! BTW, we met (once) at Rhodeside last year'ish. I was a quiet stranger on a new 696.

2. And, jetpuff716, you're right, I didn't want to interfere with Statler's party on Saturday. For those of you attending, have fun! As for the weather I'll do my best to keep us ahead of any storm.

3. For everyone: I plan to get the maps done tomorrow. I'll do a sanity check on the weather, too.

Ah, very good. Was this before or after I exploded my knee?

Either way I'm planning to intercept you as noted before (unless it's weather doom!). Unless there's some jerk-wad cager tailgating the last bike, I'll plan to just hop on the tail of the pack as it rolls by.

Bluemont General store about 12:30 sounds good to me. I'll get there early.
Looks like a good ride. See you there

Another (last?) bump, as I've got most of the route mapped now. Check the OP, update 3, for the rest.

bdub, although I've changed the route, we'll still pick you up at 12:30'ish in Bluemont.

Interesting route, kinds late for me to be giving you some alternatives and I don't post on forums anyway, just a couple of thoughts for you. You might consider taking Rt. 28  South to Rt. 606 to Evergreen Mills Rd, instead of Rt. 7 out to leesburg. Snickersville Tnpk is in pretty bad shape, your first section of Leeds Manor as well, and I assume you know that the first section of Mountain Rd is gravel. -  Smiley - Gene

Thanks for the heads-up, Gene. I road Snickers today and it seems fine for our pace. I think they've patched the road since my last trip out there. Leeds is always a little dicey, but it's beautiful. We'll take it slow and enjoy the scenery. I am really trying to change up the ride every 15-30 miles to keep it interesting.

I will be making some minor adjustments to the route this evening. I'll try to get the latest map posted before midnight, and we'll go over it before the ride tomorrow.

I'll plan to be there. One option at the end would be through Clifton and Henderson Road.
