I was just thinking, anyone ever thought/tried to modify them so that they mount on the bar end?

I thought something to the effect of coming out the bar end and then bend up (or down) then back around the grip. If I had a way to draw it i would. If done properly it might look kind of cool and be real cheap  waytogo

It sounds like you're describing mirrors with a position kinda like Napoleon bar ends or the ones on the sport classics.

The only thing I can think of that would make Mickey Mouse mirrors look cool would be to see them explode.  If you want cheap but workable bar ends mirrors, you can buy these:  http://www.rei.com/product/686043

I mounted lasersharks on my mickey mirrors.  Only then did they explode.
Unfortunately, it happened too quickly, and I didn't get pictures, so I replaced the sploded mirrors with Rizoma Radial Naked mirrors.

Apparently I already have the Napoleon mirrors on my bike (were on when I bought it). I am not really a fan of them though. Decent visability, but they are so huge. I am also cheap. But mostly I was just wondering if anyone ever modified the stock mirrors in some way that actually looks cool.

Even James Dean couldn't make those mirrors look cool.

I might, my brother has them on his bike, is probably the only holding me back from that. But with all the custom stuff people do, I wondered if anyone has done such a thing. I dont even have a pair of the mickeys so honestly I dont think I've ever seen them in person hahaha

I need a set for an "experiment"... I'll send PM's to those on this thread, but if you have a set I would gladly take them.

Just know that they will die a horrible death by being hacked to pieces...

If "the experiment" works out, there may be new life for these old handlebar warts.   [moto]
