DP/S&P Rearsets - Install Questions

Just got a set of these today from Motowheels and the package seemed to have a few "extra" parts.  I received a total of 8 spacers but only seemed to need 4 (doubling them left very little thread for the mounting bolts and the shifter rod was not straight).  The other part was a longer shift linkage turnbuckle that was far too long for use on the bike ('05 620).

Any ideas what these parts are for?  Maybe the rearsets work on multiple bikes and these parts are needed to make the kit work as such?  If anyone has any pictures of installed S&P/DP rearsets I would love to see them, especially the right-hand side so I can get a few ideas on how brake line routing should work.  I have the rear caliper mounted on the high side of the disc and the brake line routed okay, but I just wanted to make sure I've got the right amount of slack in the right places for the swingarm motion.

Ha!  I got mine off ebay and got nothing but the rearsets themselves, so my installation is a little kludgey, especially the bracket holding the fluid reservior.  The brake line is behind the master cylinder - you can see it peek out at the bottom then make a bend toward the rear of the bike.

Yep, and the pedal is slightly loose coming back up.  That is, it is possible to move it up past the resting position.  If you added a spring or a loop of rubber it would bang into the clutch case.

In the pictures I think the shifter is a little high.  I need to take it out and fine tune the height a bit.

Bled the rear brakes today and installed the pressure switch for the light.  Here's an updated set of pictures.

Update: I believe the extra 4 spacers were just thrown in as extras but the longer gunmetal rod is (almost) required.  If you use the stock rod, you'll be running on the last ~4-5 threads of the eye bolts in order to place the shifter at a usable height.  This would probably hold up for a while, but I didn't wanna chance it.  By pulling the shifter arm off the output shaft and rotating it clockwise two notches, the longer rod works wonderfully and provides a good range of adjustment.

Here's a "howto" kind of page from about a decade ago...  We might still have a bolt kit or two still in stock.

The round discs are to space the rearsets out away from the frame to help the passenger pegs not interfere with your exhaust system (normally high mount mufflers). As they're just spacers, you can use anything ... washers or whatever. You can have any shop turn spacers for you. You don't need the exact ones they supply.
