Below triple clip-ons

I have to recommend against the apex adjustable set.

First, they are adjustable only in a single cone. Second, they do this by pivoting around the main bolt, and keeping from spinning by use of a small pin which aligns with holes on the clamp side. Eventually, on mine at least, they started to give. I could tighten them to the point of almost snapping the bolts-but I could still rotate the bar back and forth. Not easy, but hard braking and wheelies all in one day will move one of them just a smidge. And them a few months later more of a a smidge.....then you buy woodcroft or vortex.

how much rise do you want? How much adjistbility do you want?

SPeedymoto tallboys, adjustibility? 5/10 Rise? 10/10
Apex Adjustable Risers adjustibility? 10/10 rise 8/10
Apex no rise clip ons? Adjustbility 5/10 Rise 0/10 ease of install 10/10

Honestly Im just looking for an aggressive riding position...

and for the holes the stock bar will leave behind, just run some clean bolts into it. Looks fine.

or that. Its a bar clamp from monsterparts.org. I milled out the bottom so it would fit over the tripple clamp main bolt, and milled the middle and put in a voltage monitor. (ok now im just showing off)

I just put on woodcraft clip ons with a rise below the triple. I replaced the stock triple with a speedymoto one.  I can't help you on the saving money front...

As for fit and feel, I absolutely love it.  That said, I'm 6'4" and have a whole lot of arm. The whole bike looks and feels so much better with the clip ons.

With the clip ons below the triple you will likely run into this problem:

The gauges are now too high and things look funny with the windscreen on there. My next project is to figure out the gauge / headlight / windscreen issue.

I really like the look!!! Im going to low pro with a heavier front wheel, and those look like that will do it...

it isnt. if you look at the threads for the gauges, if they are through the length of the triple you should be fine just threading it from the buttom up.

b.

Not the greatest pic, but here's my setup:

SpeedyMoto universal clip-ons mounted below the triple w/ lowered gauges.  There's a little bit of a rise built into the clip-on, but still plenty aggressive with how low they're mounted.

Agreed, it should be easy.  Putting the gauges on from the other side is only part of the battle. I also want to lower the headlight and get rid of the dumb U bracket and just mount the headlight to the forks. I might even do it this weekend, but I also want to swap out the headlight or at least figure out a way to be able to see at night.  So part of that is deciding whether I want a stock looking light or something crazy.
