if they start sagging, the trick is to take the mirror off and polish the ball with fine sandpaper and jeweler's paste.  that makes it good for another go-round.

When I picked up a set of the ebay mirrors, the seller (who also did the design work) recommended putting grease on the ball joints.  I slapped some moly grease on and the balls are smooth as butter now (don't say it...).  We'll see how they hold up over time.

other ppl have reported that they needed to tighten the ball-screw to ride as they would keep migrating back if you leave them loose enough to "flip"

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

I have the CRG LSs and I definitely think the modular aspect of their design is super-important. My bike is very accident prone (being knocked over while parked is fairly common for me....... :( ) and it's really nice having mirrors that fold and dont break.

This last time the bike went down one of my mirrors broke, and I was happy to see that you can buy any part buy itself for replacement. Both the glass, or the smaller metal parts that can break during a fall can be replaced for about $20.
Aftermarket: RoadRacing modified under-engine exhaust, revalved 996 forks, ProCutting half-open clutch, CC triple and pressure plate, 999 clipons, BMC filter, CRG-LS mirrors, PC3, Rizoma rearsets, heated grips, +2 teeth in rear gearing, Veypor VR2 computer, MBP collets, Yoyodyne slave, Galfer waves front and rear, misc CF (mostly faded), CRG clutch/brake levers.

fyi, the left side mirrors popped off on mine yesterday while going 70 mph...  I was worried about that very thing, so I even checked it before getting on.  Now I need to find a place that'll sell me some mirrors I can glue onto the mounts.

I just checked; I bought the mirrors late April (and got them sometime in May), but I have been doing a few mods on the bike, so I may have had about 2 hours riding time on it with the bar end mirrors.  I bought them from D2Moto off their Amazon link and I just sent them a message via the Amazon system.  I will post an update when/if D2Moto gives me a reply.

Did the mirror glass fall OUT.. or did the entire mirror unit (ball socket and all) fall off?  :-\
