make sure yours are on real tight i lost one on 105 freeway.  riding with one mirror blows.

I just got the Rizoma bars in 22mm and the diameter at the bar end is smalled than stock... Do most mirrors come with an adapter that will fit inside these smaller aperture bars, or is that something I have to pay Rizoma another $80 for... There stuff is great quality, but damn expensive.

I almost bought a set of these myself but the seller is a complete moron. I asked him what the I.D. of the bars that they will fit and he had no idea what I was talking about.

I then followed up explaining to him I was looking for the measurement of the diameter of the inside of the bar they will fit or the diameter of the insert that is on the mirror. He still had no clue and wouldn't/couldn't measure it for me so I just found an alternative.

It amazes me that this guy doesn't have a bunch of bad feedback. How can you jsut list something for sale, not really have a clue what it fits, make a statement that it fits Ducati, Triumph etc and get away with not having a bunch of unhappy customers because the things don't fit?

I sent him a note trying to find out the exact same thing. I included a photo - told him the internal diameter of my bar was equal to that of the screw (8mm or 1/3rd inch)...and STILL no reply (that was 3 days ago)

I was so happy with my first set, I decided to order another from the same seller. I just got the second pair yesterday, and was surprised to discover what I received is different than the first set. This new design is not as close of a knock off to the CRG. It's similar, but definitely lower quality (no removable mirror part, and the arm and mirror holder are cast as a single piece instead of the bolt on arm).

I've already complained to the seller that what I received are not the style pictured & asked for an exchange or partial refund. I'll report back here as to whether or not that style is still available or not. This 'alternate' style is not nearly as nice as the CRG lookalike shown in the ad!

Roy-nexus I'll try to remember to get you a measurement, as I have an unopened set sitting in my living room at home.

That's strange, I just ordered a set and they were the perfect ones to do the LS swap.  Best part was I found them from a seller for $24!!!  Seller was motorcyclebatteries or something.

Ok, the in the bar adapter appears to be about 16mm diameter, but is designed to expand to hold itself into the bar.

Sorry for the crummy pix, but here's what the new ones look like, not as nice in my opinion:

Yeah those are definitely different than what I got.  Search for motobatteries, they had plenty of sets when I got mine.

Also, the expansion screw was assembled wrong when I got mine.  Took a while to figure that one out.  Mine have a three piece expansion, with two slotted sleeves.

bdfinally

Yeah I got mine from motobatteries also and mine looked nothing like that....and one of the expanders was on the wrong way too.

[laugh]

Some poor employee somewhere is really sticking it to the man with the assembly of these things!

On another note, anyone know where to get cheap replacement glass?  Other than CRG?   [bang]

That's the ones I actually received when I most recently ordered from 'motohottie'. Not as nice as the CRG knockoffs IMO, though I've yet to mount them and try the folding action. You can definitely find a better price on these. I think mine were around $43 shipped. These ones seem more cheaply made with the sealed in mirror & single cast piece arm & mirror part. The others had a removable arm & mirror glass just like the CRG design.

First hand, I can tell you the glass is glass & overall the quality seems ok. It's just not quite as nice looking to me as the other design. I didn't care for the plastic button on the back & the lack of option to replace the glass.

they're not designed to fold -- those are the same as the other ones with a ball mount.  you have to leave the top bolt loose to "fold", and i imagine you'll lose them after a while when the screw vibrates out.

proper folding mirrors have a hinge, not a friction ball.  caveat emptor.

notice the CRG's have a ball mount too -- I guess they double fold?

Look again in the auction and find a video showing the folding in action. They look good..

i saw that.

notice how gently he pushes the mirror.

i can do the same thing with my CRG's -- if i loosen the ball clamp bolt.  look at the pics.  you only have two bolts clamping the thing on your bar.  one of them is the ball clamp bolt!  which one you gonna loosen?

but they will fall off.  don't you worry.
