everyone's afraid that they'll be hit by a cager sooner or later.  well, i hope this counts as mine...

i was headed east on hwy 6 and just passed west rd. (4:30 pm on Friday) i was in the left lane and had cars behind and beside me.  20 yards: some idiot woman (i can say that b/c i am one... a woman... not an idiot Wink) who was headed west (that's towards me for those who aren't paying attention) made a U-turn from her left lane.  not the center lane, which is where most people stop and then decide to U-turn when the coast is clear.  10 yards: she sees all of us coming and stops.  at this point she's in her lane, the center lane, and half of my lane.  i figured she realize that she's a moron and was going to let all of us pass her (besides, her side of the road was completely stopped).  5 yards: i didn't want to stop because i was afraid of being hit by the car behind me.  i start towards the right side of my lane to pass by her and then she starts going again!  1 yard: i swerved and the B* hit my handle bar mirror knocking it in!

so you can see why i hope this one counts... technically, i WAS hit.  but the damage was non-existent.  i stopped at the next light and the  Lips Sealed pulls up beside me.  she actually rolled down her window and apologized.  i just motioned a little 'yea, it's ok' thing.  it wasn't until i got to the bank and stopped that i realized i was shaking.  whew.  close one....

If you were hit it counts. Glad you weren't hurt.

She wouldn't have need to roll down the windows... I would've given her an earful.

 Lips Sealed

Glad you made it out of that one with only shaken nerves and a mirror ding.

Glad you're ok and that a banged up mirror was your only souvenier from that encounter...

See, if you had been at the Hill Country Ride with us this weekend none of that nastiness would've happened  Wink

Glad your OK. Glad you were alert and reacted to minimize the damage/risk.

Show up at the next Run and you can cash your rain check. Grin
